ipod touch i salt water

    hey my ipod was left in my pocket when i went to jump in my friends pool din't relise it was there till after 10 mins. i got out of the pool and left it in the sun for a bit to dry out, then the day after i went for a swim with my ipod

    i got the blow dryer and put it on low just to get rid of the rest of the water. i pluged it into the computer it turned on but the screen has lost its touch ability.


    any help would be great

    Darn. Ur screwed. Your supposed to let it stay in a bag of rice for a few weeks. good luck fixing it.

    lol im i might get botteled water and make sure my ipod is of and run that trough it to get rid of the salt but my mum said salt water in the pool is different to the ocean the salt is desolved and tha salt is more likly to be on the bottom so there might be a chance that my ipod might still work. i turned it on again just to see if it would work it works like a normal ipod touch but the screen has gone a bit funny

    True pool salt and ocean salt are different. You should not add water to your iPod that is a
    stupid idea. Leave it in rice for a week.

    rice grains absorb water.

    are you sure it wasn't chlorinated water in the pool as opposed to salt water?

    Just rice it and leave it on a window or a warm place for a week or so
