Hello, this is a great forum. This is my 1st post. I just recently got an ipod touch 32g 2nd gen. I was syncing mail from itunes and suddenly I have 9 gigs of stuff in the "other" category in the ipod. How can I access/find and delete these 9 gigs of other crap. Not sure if I need to give any more info.
    Thanks in advance, Chimmi.

I had an issue like that, and turns out that iTunes had forgotten about my 5 gigs of podcasts...
So I went and deleted them all

    I know it's not podcasts.
If I do a restore will it get rid of my apps?

Restore starts from square one. It keeps your apps on iTunes so if you paid for any, don't worry about paying again, you won't have to. Welcome.

It will just erase all your stuff on the iPod.
You can just sync it all back.

But if your jailbroken , you have to rejailbreak , and reinstall all the jailbroken apps.

Welcome. If you ever find what it is, let me know. I'm kind of curious!

The same thing happened to me and I simply restored like it is suggested here and everything was fixed.

Yes I am jailbroken. I bought it that way used, so I would have to figure it out on my own.

    Thanks for all the info.
