iPod Touch Glass face plate

    Soo... if it's really glass - are screen protectors neccesary????

    Not necessary, but they can cut down on finger prints and prevent the occasional scratch (glass is harder to scratch but not impossible).

    Thanks for the input, I agree. I have one installed on mine.....

    I bought the Bodyguardz (Do not recommend it).

    It came with one for the back but it did not install properly =/

    Um ... there's the small matter of the fact that it isn't just glass. There is also a transparent coating of indium tin oxide. This is the electrically conductive bit that actually makes the touchscreen function. If that wears off or becomes scratched you will begin to have problems with the touch part of the Touch, and generally speaking, this is something you want to avoid.

    Buy an invisibleSHIELD or Best Skins Ever shield and stop worrying about it.

    Definitely get an Invisible Shield. It's glass, not diamond, so it can scratch. It's worth it...
