I don't know if anyone else is having this problem but after 10 minutes of use my Ipod Touch 2g gets very hot around the base of it near the usb port.

    Could this be severe?

Mine gets a little warm at the bottom, but that's only when I restore firmware or resync my entire 4,000 song library, but not while I'm actually using it. Could be a problem.

yeah it might be normal but it is kind of scary for it to get so hot.

    It's normal.
Mine gets hot all the time when I'm using it and charging it with my Wall Charger.
Doesn't usually get as hot as fast when it's plugged into my computer..

shut it off and let it cool for a while then turn it on and see how fast and how hot it gets. if it gets too hot really quick its probably bad and you should take it to apple.

You probably just don't feel it through the case.
