well it takes a long time to boot sometimes, give it at least 5 minutes before getting worried.

and yes because it is jailbroken they will NOT fix it and most likely wont send yours back.

Try doing a Hard reset ( hold the home button and the Power button together, when the screen goes black, let go of the power button but hold the home button still......you should then get the Connect to Itunes logo and you can doa restore...then re-jailbreak.

read it carefully and try at least like 20 times
oh instead of it going black and letting go of the sleep button let go of the sleep button when the apple logo appears annd you have to be fast

    possible solution

Do not send it to them jailbroken they will not replace or fix it. I would suggest attempting force restores and hard resets. otherwise if all else fails and it is still under warranty than do your best to make sure the innards no longer work i.e.: soak it in you bathtub for 5 hours. and send it to them saying "my ipod was in my car which fell off the road into a lake" or a story like that. then they MAY replace it.

I do no guarantee this method

an easier way is just to turn off the ipod, press and hold the home button, then with the home button still held down and power still off, connect the sync cable. the "connect to itunes" graphic should show up.
