Ipod touch froze!!

    When I turned my ipod touch on it just froze!! all i can see on the screen is the apple logo!

    the screen hasnt changed since
    please help

    but my touch is frozen if i press the home butto nothing happens.....all i can see on my screen os a black background with the apple logi in the middle!

    yeah u will have to force restore.. Just follow the link, I had the same prob

    hold the buttons for 30 secs

    It then opens up itunes...i tyhen click restore anmd then 2 mins later it says an error has occured...my ipod will not even switch on now!?

    ok follow those directions word for word. .try restarting ur pc
    ..and remember to hold both buttons until ur iPod starts, then release the sleep button while still holding the home button

    I followed them step by step..at the end of restoring it said.....an unknow error has occured!

    hmm ok, a search for "unknown error" brings up a lot of threads... as andy huang said,

    "Make sure you restart your computer. Or at least make sure ALL iPod/iTunes/Apple related services are running. My guess would be the "iTunesHelper.exe" that you killed off during the jailbreaking process. That application is spawned by iPod service or something, so if you don't want to reboot, try to go Control Panel / Administrative Tools / Services and manually start that service again."

    so make sure you reboot.. try that and see.. and make sure your ipod is connected the whole time...

    all i can say is that sucks. i have no touch so there fore i cant help you.
