ive heard that if you bought your ipod from best buy and got a warranty, that if a new ipod comes out, you can say that your experiencing problems and they'll let you upgrade to a newer one? or whatevers out?

is this true? can you keep your old one? do you pay extra money for an upgrade?

    -thanks!

From my experience with Best Buy, they don't give a crap what happened or what you want, they'll just get you in and out if you have a receipt. I'm sure they'd let you upgrade though, Circuit City has let me done things like that in the past.

    Save those receipts, guys.

Well, I'm pretty sure that the iPod Touch is covered differently than other iPods at Bestbuy, because they consider it a Wireless Device rather than a mp3 player. Therefore (and this part I'm sure of), they have a product service plan, instead of a full-blown warranty.

I'm not sure if the product service plan allows upgrades or refunds...
