Well there is a free way of getting this, but it is ILLEGAL! and we'll get banded from IPTF if we talk about it. if you have an ipod touch 1G like mine, i Don't think it's worth the money, unless using Quickgold instead of Spotlight is a REAL problem. the only differences between 2.2.1 and 3.0 are:

    3.0 is slower boot

    3.0 is slower in safari

    3.0 takes up more memory

    3.0 has spotlight

3.0 has horizontal, stock apps and notes apps

3.0 has got loads of bugs.

3.0 will bearly work with JB apps

3.0 apps store is Slightly updated

    3.0 is hard to downgrade,

    3.0 has updated iCal

3.0 has bluetooth (only for 2G users)

that's basicly it. the rest are for iPhone 1G/3G(s)

i acutally disagree, i find 3.0 takes up less memory and has added benefits although you can wait til 3.1 and see how that is better/different

Yeah I disagree too. I think it's actually faster... and while the features may not at this point (especially for 1G users) justify the cost, they are useful and with future updates it will be worth it. Besides, many apps are starting to become 3.0 only and require the upgrade.

Yeah i disagree with a few of those points too. My boot is faster and so is my respring. I also have better memory management with pretty much 0 crashes, unlike my older 2.2.1 setup where things crashed like no tomorrow (even after restore...i was probably unlucky hehe).

The bugs i've noticed are things like wifi, where the signal strength is reduced etc. Im probably another exception in that i get complete drops very frequently. Also, a lot of jailbreak things do not work. Theyre patching as they go, but many things dont work well.
