Keep it powered OFF in a bag of rice for 5 days minimum. Only way u have a chance to revive your ipod

also best if you open up iPod so water can drain out quicker ( and put in rice make sure your fingers do not touch circuit board or static will flow through... last choice is to replace it with apple for refurbished one for $200 fee

Mine ended up in the toilet a few weeks ago. Submeregd fro a few seconds. Had a Switcheasy case which may have offered some limited water protection. I powered it off, removed the case, towel dried it and stuck some screwed up toilet paper into the headphone jack and comm port. The left covered in rice for 5 days in a warm place and it works perfectly. It's a bit touch and go but 5 days minimum and best to leave it for a week of more if you can just to be on the safe side. If you haven't removed all the moisture then as soon as you power it on it'll be fried and unrecoverable.
