This is my 2nd gen ipod touch as a fully functional (flat screen haha) external monitor.
dragging windows left of the laptop will move it to the ipod realtime
on the ipod you can zoom in, and actually control the monitor also

This is easy. Just download VNC lite on your Touch and download your VNC server program of choice for your computer. I use RealVNC and it works just fine. It's not very useful, to be honest.

but what you explained if for seeing the same screen as on the computer, you know what I mean?
    its duplicating the primary display
    this is and external monitor
and I was thinking about hooking up two of my laptops + this ipod and making that short clip
so the layout would be like [ipod][laptop][laptop]
    =/

ps whats the "cube for ipod"?

you used the ipod to vnc on the main pc then hooked up the main pc to the second display and extended your monitor to it in display properties.. right?
