    Hi
Last week I got my iPod touch 4 replaced by apple because of overheating screen lift and error 31 when I restore or sync

So I got it replaced and everything is fine.

But I am curious about error 31 and what it could mean. If you know what error 31 means could you please post it on this thread.

    Thanks

Do you have the latest version of iTunes?

So this error is happening when you go to restore it to the current firmware? Cuz when I had the older version of iTunes (version 10), it was giving me some sort of error, then I updated to the newest iTunes and I didn't have the error when restoring.

Our errors might be unrelated, but I'm just trying to help you.

Yeah that's what I was doing. In between jailbreaks, I was going to do a restore on iTunes 10.0, it was giving me an error. I didn't know that another iTunes update had been released, so I downloaded the lastest iTunes (10.1), and it restored perfectly, and then I jailbroke again.

And youre saying that you HAVE the latest iTunes and it wont work? Hmm, hope someone can help you. Google it. That's what I always do.
