i was wondering, how long will the ipod last when its on sleep?
well so far ive seen a 0% depletion when its in sleep mode. ive only turned mine off once, otherwise i just put it to sleep at night, and most of the time when i wake up theres more battery than when i turned it off. (just like when i turn the screen off while listening to music) because the screen was being used before you put it to sleep, so when you turn it back on theres more battery.
I havn't noticed any drain on the battery when in sleepmode. It would be hard to run a test though because that would require putting it down for more than 10mins and I don't think thats possible. I'm yet to run it out of juice yet either.
Wow! I'm impressed. I need a recharge nightly. But then again, I use it almost all eight hours I work for internet and videos.
i generally loose 50% battery a day but i charge nightly anyways
A similar thing happens on cellphones, if you turn it off for a bit, upon turning it back on you may find more juice. The main power muncher on the touch is the screen, wi-fi being the second.
I've found that if I put my Touch to sleep, in most cases the following day the battery has completely discharged to the point it will not power on at all. In some instances I may have only used the touch to listen to music for about 1 hour after a full 4 hour charge. Please Register or Log in to view images
Could this be a faulty battery. I've noticed that if I power off completely then it starts up the following day with charge in the battery.
The screen is set to auto-brightness and typically the wi-fi is turned off (unless I need to use it).
Is anyone else experiencing a rapid discharge of the battery when in sleep mode?

Have you got OpenSSH?
And is it wrong if I haven't full-load the first time?
