Ipod touch dropped in the bath!

    I dropped it in the bath last night, at 1st it turned on but the slide screen wudnt work, and when i charged it the charging sign came on, then it got really hot in the bottom left corner. so took it off charge, now wont charge, wont turn on, is completely dead..
    Can it be fixed?? and if so how?!!

    You shouldn't have turned it on right away, very bad idea. Keep it in a bowl of dry rice for a few days, the rice will absorb the water.

    how come turnin it on will make it worse?
    i tried the rice thing overnight and now this morning its not working at all!
    Do u think its likely that it will start workin again? or do you think its dead now?!:-(

    by turning it on while it's wet will fry the board and stuff inside it.
    Because electricity is flowing.

    If you don't turn it on, no electricity will flow and chances that something will fry is way less.

    Now that you have tried doing stuffs like charge it and turning it on.
    It's probably broken in a way or two.

    By turning it on right afterwards you probably damaged the circuits beyond repair. Water damage isn't covered by the warranty either. Looks like you're screwed.

    By the way, iPod + water = BAD IDEA. It isn't waterproof people!

    heres a hint incase you buy a new one,if your sorrounded in water then dont bring your ipod with you

    Same happend to my brother. He just blow dried for a couple of minutes (not close) and stuck it inside a bowl of rice for 2 days. Works like a charm.

    yea well funny enough i knw that water and electrics dont go!! durr.....
    it fell out of my pocket, i didnt put it in there to see if it floats!

    Then you should have known not to turn it on...
