    Hey all,

I have a 16GB iPod Touch 2G, OS 3.1.2. Every time I try and select a song, or hit shuffle, the play button flashes a few times in the task bar, then it returns to the song list, without playing the song. If I select an individual song, it goes forward a few songs, then returns. It looks like something is pressing lots of buttons rapidly. Sometimes it lands on a song after it jumps around a bit and it plays it. If I try and press next then, it goes back to the song list. It can play movies fine, it only affects music.

Has anybody heard about anything that could be related to this? Or maybe something that could cause simulated button presses? I'm thinking it might be an app that is re-assigning keys, such as libactivator or something.

    Thanks for any help, Jagger.

PS. I would prefer not to restore it if there is any chance, I don't want to have to reinstall all my jailbroken apps etc.

Try a reboot. If your forced to restore download aptbackup from Cydia. Then backup your iPod. Then finally restore from a backup.

Rebooting doesn't work, sadly. I will restore if there aren't any other ideas soon. Thanks.
