    Hello guys,

I just jailbroke my brandnew ipod touch with version 1.1.4 running. I installed "BSD Subsystem" and "OpenSSH".

After this no idea how and why the ipod shows the following behaviour.

    1) A small round indicator wheel appears in the middle of the home screen.
    2) An "Edit Home Screen" Note appears with text "To rearrange icons, touch
and hold any icon..." with a "Dismiss" button
    3) This is repeated even if I press any combination of Home and Sleep button
For example I can press Sleep button for some seconds and then
the red "Turn off" Slider appears, I slide it but then the icon in first step
reappears and I come to Home Screen again.

=> I can not turn the ipod touch off.
=> I can not connect to itunes.
=> I CAN ONLY CONNECT VIA SSH.

    ANYBODY KNOWS HOW MANUALLY EITHER

    a) get a itunes connection?
    b) interrupt this "Edit Home Screen" start up process
    or
    c) maybe manually shutdown the phone so I can press Home button
for 10 seconds and get a iTunes connection

    ?????

I REALLY WOULD APPRECIATE ANY KIND OF HELP SINCE OTHERWISE I HAVE GIVE IT IN APPLE REPAIR SERVICE

    cheers,
    toby

Hold the sleep button and home button until the iPod turns off.

Then use the link in my video to help you restore.
