I've noticed every time I sync/connect my (un-Jailbroken) iPod Touch 2G 32GB (2.2.1) on Vista, it 'kills' my AVG Identity Protection software.

I'm 100% certain it's the iPod, because while it is still connected, re-enabling the protection fails until I disconnect it. It's not the end of the world to me because I don't really rely on AVG ID, but this is still a good question...

Is there a record of this with other programs? Am I missing something?

    Thanks,
    QM.

    Same as you, 8.5.2

However, AVG Identity Protection appears to run seperate to my Security Center and its version is different.

    8.5.6

    AVG identity protection sync issue

I'm getting the same issue! Everything works fine, but when I plug in the Iphone to sync with iTunes, AVG IDS fails and crashes. It can be started again but fails repeatedly unless the phone is disconnected.
