I was running on jailbroken OS 3.0 for few days, everything was perfect, but I Installed some new themes in Cydia and plug in the power cord to my ipod to let it charge, then when I reboot my ipod it wont turn on again. I have tried everything, DFU mode in many ways, plug into 3 computers, PC and Mac, and nothing. It still feels a little warm when I connect it to charge, so Im thinking is still charging, PC WONT RECOGNIZE IPOD, HELP PLEASE! My IPOD is my biggest daily entertainment. Did I break my Ipod??? Thanks in advance.

as far as i know the only actually bricked ipod touch 2g can happen when doing certain thing and the battery dies while doing those certain things
just give it some time, but if you're battery flat out died then, you could possibly have a problem., otherwise i would just let ur ipod rest
but.... which one do you have: first or second gen?

I got the second generation one. I let it rest the whole night and the morning, maybe I will have to let it rest few days.

that kind of happened to me once, i was restoring it, then the lights were off, so my computer turned off, so my ipod got screwed, then i called apple, then they told me to leave it charging for about 1 hr, then turn it on, then i was happily playing with my ipod again

    DFU always works.

Just let your ipod charge for a while then do it.....

try putting it in restore mode:

    1. Plug USB Cable into your Computer, but not in your iPod.
    2. Hold the Home Button of your iPod
    3. Plug in the USB-Cable and keep holding the Homebutton while doing this
    4. Still hold the Homebutton until an iTunes logo comes up on your iPod

thank you guys for the advices, but nothing has worked for me, tried everything you told me. Any more ideas, I have given up. And DFU is not working, I have done it several times before. Also the restore mode seemed to be an option but didnt work.
