On October 1, 2010, after charging my iPod touch, I turned it off (not lock) and the next day I noticed that the time and date was wrong. It was October 2, 2010 that day but my iPod went all the way back to January 3, 2009 and nighttime was early morning. I live in Manila, Philippines GMT +08:00 and that is what is set on my iPod. It is very annoying and when I change date and time it is only temporary. It also affects installing apps and updating them and affects other things. It is so annoying.

Has anyone have a fix to this? Something that you have tried and actually worked?

    Device: 2G iPod touch
    Capacity: 8GB
    Firmware: 4.0
    Not jailbroken
