Well my iPod managed to get a cracked screen. I don't know how it happened but I know it was my fault. Anyways I've heard the Apple warrenty doesn't support user damage so i was thinking to screw the iPod up and say it has a defect., so I can get it replaced. Do you think if I load the iPhone firmware on it and say to Apple that I updated my iPod to 2.0.2 and when it was finished updating it wouldn't turn on, that they would replace it?

Once it has the physical damage nothing else counts, if that wasnt the case i could set my touch on fire, drop it in a swimming pool then go to the apple store and say the battery wasnt holding its charge

Sorry I meant that if it was the firmwares fault my iPod wasn't working. Not its fault that the screen was cracked.
