For the last 2 days, whenever I connect my iPod to my laptop, a message pops up that says "An iPhone has been connected, but it could not be identified properly. Please disconnect and reconnect the iPhone and try again." The iPod itself works fine. It charges when connected and iTunes automatically pops up when it's connected. It just won't be recognised by iTunes.
I have tried all 3 of my USB ports. I've restarted my laptop and rebooted my iPod.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you =]

Having the same problem, really annoying. Thought it was my cord but I tried my brothers and it didn't work either. Just like above I tried all my USB ports, reinstalled itunes. It was working fine before.
