I am considering getting the touch primarily for web browsing. I currently use an old PocketPC at night in bed. My wife complains because even on the lowest brightness setting it is too bright.
Does anyone use it in complete darkness? How dim can you get it?
    thanks.

on lots of players you usually don't get much flexibilities on the brightness but the touch is good. I use the touch on half brightness when just using as a mp3 player because it is still bright enough when changing the songs. It can go quite low and really high.

I have mine completely turned down and my wife has no problems sleeping. It's a very nice and very clear screen. So go out and buy one and turn that thing completely down, besides it's better for the battery to turn it all the way down and turn off discoverable wifi. Battery last much longer then.
