    Hello all,

I dropped my iPod into water and broke my battery. The device works fine plugged in (except for a broken speaker) but will not function without external energy. This obviously necessitates a battery replacement. I have a 30 GB Video iPod and would like to use the battery for the iPod Video in my iTouch. Would this work?

No. It never will unless you leave the battery lying out instead of inside.

you mean that the battery won't fit inside the device but technically could power it?

thats the kind of thing that gets you banned, ya the inside of a touch is very cramped, where the video is kinda roomy and the battery is too thick.
