ipod touch as mic in win xp?

    is it possible to use the ipod touch (with a mic plugged in) as a mic in windows xp?

    um, no and why? its not recognized as a mic, just buy one

    um if you have a mic in the docking slot, how would you dock your ipod to your computer

    you could have a mic in the docking slot and then have an app that transferes the sound to you'r pc... kinda like voip

    why do things so advanced when you can do it so simple? Buy a proper mic for around a tenner, much better recording quality too

    i tried to connect from the headphone line to line in on my notebook, you can hear sounds from ipod on the notebook but mic doesn't work ^^.
    and yea i know just buying a mic is a so much easier way, but it's no more special

    i just thought of connecting through the headphones line from the ipod to the mic line but well if theres no app where u can hear ur own voice sure it doesn't work
