Ipod Touch as HD

    I have been reading some of these posts and as of yet have not figured hot to make my ipod touch 8 gig set as Hard drive on my PC.I can do it with any click wheel ipod but how do I do it with the ipod touch.I think I may be missing something and hope someone can help me there.

    its not a hard drive, those are know a flash drive, and to answer your question...
    this is not possible yet, nor is it likely that it will ever be made so it will. the wheel clicks memory is formatted with FAT32 which was readable with pcs, but the touches uses memory formated to HFS+. it is possible but it would require emulating and that is to much trouble when you could just FTP into your ipod.

    but if i remember correctly it is readable on macs

    You can use MacDrive to Read and Write HFSJ+

    Its how I transfer files from Mac to Windows on my iMac

    Please Register or Log in to view images



    The iPod Touch does not show up as a drive no matter what you do.

    iPhoneBrowser or SSH is the only way you can do what you need.

    why the hell would someone turn a multi media device such as an ipod touch into a hard drive. thats one hightech expensive hard drive

    no, you dont turn it into, you let it act is one also, it would basically do what the psp could do. i use that as my usb flash drive since i have a 4 gig memory card in it. i could store anything i really wanted to into it while still having some of my music in it.
