I just connected with WinSCP to transfer a folder. Before I could do anything the iPod froze.

It's getting detected by iTunes like normal iPod. I can transfer purchases and it does not say about recovery as well. Windows also detects iPod along with the "sound". iPod emits the sound when it gets connected via USB to charging or to the computer so I don't know whats wrong.

I deleted the last theme that I installed which was LS rice wine HD via SSH.

I have iTunes backup which I guess can used to restore it. But is there any other way?

I did turn it off for couple of hours then connected it to iTunes. But it still goes into reboot mode.

    Help!!

Try to force your iPod into recovery mode. That should work for you.

    Any other way without restoring?

Also if you have read above, Itunes does recognize it as a normal iPod.

I really don't know any other ways to do it. And if you ask me I would restore it. Restoring is a safe "reset". A good way to fix things without causing any damage.

It might be your drivers on your pc that don't detect it. Try updating them.

I don't think so... He said iTunes recognize the iPod.

Hold the power and home button, and release when the apple logo appears, its a hard reboot

That above^^ should work. That's what I use in issues like this, it's a reboot.
