    Hey, Im new here .....

I have a problem , i was in my brother's house using his wi-fi and some of my apps were about to update, but before they could start downloading I left. Anyway so I'm home now (out of a wifi zone) and the apps still say 'waiting'. the icons on the apps are just grey with a progress bar which is empty.
I have tried powering my iPod off and on, syncing it, removing all of the apps and installing them all again. It still says 'waiting'. Is there anything i can do to get the apps out of the 'waiting' status and back to normal?

Also, I have 4.0.2 installed on my ipod touch 2g but i have used all of these apps since 4.0 was installed and they all work perfectly.

going into a wireless zone and starting the downloads again is not an option.

I attached some photos for example of what it looks like in my ipod ....

    Thanks in advance!

The only way to get rid of them is to let them completely download and install. This means that you will have to go back into a wifi zone and let the Appstore download them all. Until you do that, the gray icons will remain there.

Restart your device (try both, forced and regular)

    If those don't work, then...

Unsync your apps, then sync them again in iTunes. Otherwise, the restore is the only way to go.

In the future delete the app from iTunes and re-sync. That should get rid of it.

I think if you delete a certain plist, it removes those icons.

which of course would be a lot more troubles than going into a wifi zone
