Some of you guys have met my brother, some of you haven't.
Well here's the case, his iPod has a very serious problem, in the app tab in iTunes it doesn't let you select any apps. I took his iPod and restored and DFU'd force restored, it fixes the probelm but the next time it is syncs, the problem continues to happen. Any suggestions?
I'm considering taking it to the Apple Store, but in the mean time i need a solution.
    iPod is running 2.1 unjailbroken.
Here's a pic of the problem:

Your intelligent enough so I'm sure you authorized the iPod to the computer. I had that same problem and that fixed it. If that's not it, then I don't know.

Of course. That's the most obvious thing.

so this iPod which has his account info is synced normally to this computer? Have you checked 'Sync All Applications' and then switched back to syncing only certain apps?

    You should use Appbckup

but now u cant because ur already in DFU mode.

may advice is restore ur ipod and restart installing again. next time use appbckup first before u restore.
