    This is the "App Pack." It is stored on your computer, so if you ever lose the apps from your iPod, you should be able to reactivate them. I recommend backing up the "Mobile Applications" folder incase iTunes would decide to erase your App Pack.

    Note that this file is only 12KB. This confirms my suspicion that the apps are already included with the firmware, and that this update just diddles with some settings on your Touch to make the apps visible.

    IF, it was to be found on the hard-disk.. and sent to someone else...
    that someone else would put it directly into their hard drive on computer
    in the same place as it was in the iTunes folder (original)
    perhaps..that could be a way to SHARE the app pack?!

    just an idea.

    It would be awesome if you would upload this and share it with the community. (Assuming that this does actually enable the applications)

    u CANT its protected. you need to remove the write protection first.

    i am trying, i have the same file, it wont work unless we remove the protection thing.
