ipod touch app help

    Ok heres the deal i want to create games for the ipod touch/iphone but i dont want to purchase the iphone developer program, is there a way to add my completed games manually to my ipod touch?

    what are you guys talking about, whats gentoo?? i know you have to ssh the files to the ipod but i need to know where to put them

    Well, if you made your own app built with the SDK or the toolchain then you would have to create a sub-folder in the '/Appications' folder of your iPod Touch and name it 'YourAppName.app'. The key part to the folder name is the '.app' at the end. You then would have to change the permissions of the contents in the '.app' folder you created to 0755. Then after that is done you will need the sign the application.

    Do this first to set permissions:
    Code:
    chmod -R 0755 /Applications/APPNAME.app
    
    Then this to sign it:
    Code:
    ldid -S /Applications/APPNAME.app/APPNAME

    You could do it directly from the MobileTerminal app that you get from cydia, or you can do it from a terminal on your computer.
