I recently won an Ipod Touch-16 GB and am thrilled!! BUT, when talking with a Tech from my support where I work, she said do not use it with wifi until you download an antivirus program on it?
What, if any, programs are available for the Ipod Touch?? Any help with this??

Don't listen to her. There's no need for an antivirus on a mobile platform. None support the iPhone OS anyway.

She's crazy and doesn't know what she's talking about.

If the Dev Team has that much trouble finding a way to exploit the devices (And they're really good at it), there's really no chance of any other people coding viruses for the iPod/iPhone.

Don't worry, you're fine to browse the web.

Also, there are no viruses for the iPod.iPhone, anyways. So far, at least... But I wouldn't count on it.

ipod touches don't get viruses. that person for tech support probably didn't realize you were talking about an ipod.

There's a cydia package in the [PIRACY]us repo which updates the device's native blacklist for sites that are potentially harmful, but it's by no means an antivirus program

As long as you stay away from that stuff you won't need to worry.
