Will be getting an ipod touch soon are the screens easy to see outside and play games on or are they only good indoor/dark places?

I was just at the pool for my daughters swim practice and it wasn't good at all. I wasn't playing games but pretty much everything was difficult to see

if it's strong sunlight, the screen will be alot harder to see.
This is the case with all screens but you should manage to use it.
Just face away from the sun and you will see alot better.

you might not wan't to play tilt games though as the sun reflections can get annoying

Well you could turn up the brightness to the max but then you would be wasting battery. It's alright in the sun, but like nikj said, when it's directly in the sun the screen becomes grainy and you can see noise on the screen.

I was using this screen protector that came with the Neo Touch case, and I have my brightness at 25% on my ipod touch. And I tested it out on a sunny day, with my ipod in the sun, and I can see my ipod clearly, i was amazed, and when there was more sun. I was also able to play any game without hiding it under shade or something.

I have to admit that the screen looks grainy in the direct hard sun, but I just simply use SBsettings to max out the brightness 'till I can see again and put the brightness back to 1/3 the way full where it normally is.
