Hi, sorry for asking this noobish question, but I'm totally new to this. I'm planning to get me a iPod Touch and I get confused of all this 2.0 talk. I can buy the 1.4 version and then upgrade when 2.0 comes out, right? Or.. I could wait for the 2.0 to be released and then buy me a iPod Touch. What do you experts think I should do?

    Thanks alot!

you may as well wait now, upgrading to 2.0 will require a 'nominal fee'

Splitted opinions here. But it will be possible to upgrade to 2.0 later right? And if that won't be a hell of alot more expensive than waiting, I can't see any reason to wait.

The nominal fee for 1.1.3 for $20, so I'd expect it to be around there.

But what's the odds for that it will be so damn expensive. Because if the firmware will cost alot the new iPods will cost alot too. But if I can buy now and then upgrade it for a small fee, then It's not a problem.

And damn, you really are experts. 3 replies in 3 minutes:O

the ipods themselves shouldn't go up in price, they didn't when the last software update did and that cost money to upgrade.

I've read that the upgrade will come this month. But do you think it will be soon or in the end? I really want my touch now
