the t3 is really small in comparisson to the touch...so ive positioned the t3 at the bottom of the back of the ipod ...

another thing...one side of the t3 is plastic an the other is metal of some sort...and it seems that when the plastic side is facing up/out from the ipod it reduces the interference.

now even with wifi on there is no noise...

    thats it

That could be some sort of RF interference. Sometimes amps aren't shielded very well, or the shielding is directional.
