So I know the answer is to restore my ipod but I'm in a sticky situation.

I did the jailbreak for ios4 and it worked but now it just won't sync with my itunes. So, you see why a restore seems impossible to me at this point. I will lose my jailbreak and I can't downgrade for some reason. So, its not really an issue with my jailbreak which is why i'm not posting there.

The last thing I did is download some podcasts directly and it seemed to glitch the thing out. I read that that could be an issue.

I've tried re-authorizing itunes and all that but it still won't sync with the ipod even though it shows up as connected ( I can look at the photos on it in explorer)

So, yeah, normally I would just do a restore but I can't.

Is there any way to get itunes to see my ipod again?

I am waiting on my roommate to get home and I'm going to try to set it up with his itunes...

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks.

If possible, try a different computer.

    --OR--

    1. Uninstall itunes and all apple related programs (see signature)
    2. Reboot the computer
    3. Install the latest version of iTunes
    4. DFU Restore

If the above does not work, try reinstalling USB drivers.
