Alright so on my way to school I noticed that my iPod was reallly (and I mean REALLY) laggy when scrolling from page to page. I was thinking "Oh it's ok because a respring will fix it". I started to respring and after the little loading wheel stopped spinning, it took around 5 minutes to get back to the lockscreen. It has been acting like this all day.

I am currently on a tethered jailbreak as well. Any suggestions before I reboot? Also if a reboot doesn't work would I be able to restore by shift + click a 3.1.2 2nd gen restore firmware?

My iPod 3G 64GB was like this, too. Just try to reboot, but save your SHSH on Umbrella first, just in case.

    How many Mobilesubstrates you running?
  5. okay, first, w/ sb settings, see how many processes you're running. Kill all of them, then tap "Free Memory". Then disable all extensions except the ones you really need.

The only real extensions that should be enabled are:

    winterboard
    sb settings

and maybe a few others like I have infinidock and safari downloader. But absolutely NO BACKGROUNDER. Also, if you have any more than, say, 5 extensions enabled, then that would be the reason everything is so slow.

realize that the iphone and ipod touches are not computers...they have less than 512 MB of memory so don't bombard it w/ all sorts of themes and useless memory eating extensions.

    Hope this helps...

Try removing boot deamons ( search forum) it will increase your boot speed and free memory

Dude, I even went into safe mode and it was just as bad. But once I got home I fixed the problem by rebooting (I couldn't do it at school because I am tethered.)

Already have like a month ago, but problem was fixed by rebooting and rejailbreaking.
