Ok now I have looked around a bit to try and solve my problem, but thusfar have gotten nowhere. When i plug my ipod touch into my powermac g4 it doesnt recognise that its been plugged in. The battery icon doesnt change, itunes doesnt open, nothing. I have tried this with 3 different USB cords. still, nothing. different ports. nothing. i have reset all settings on my ipod. i tried on my dads computer (imac G5 2.0gHz, powerPC, mac osx tiger 10.4.11), it works on that! so for the past week or so i have just been charging it on his computer, but i cant sync any of my music, movies apps etc on it. the problem arose when i installed leopard on my powermac. i had to hack the computer firmware on startup to get leopard to run on my computer (make the processor good enough). dont know if this could have caused the problem? anyways heres my config powermac G4 digital audio 733mHz processor with 1mb L3 cache 1GB SD Ram Mac OSX 10.5 oh yeah, my ipod shuffle connects and syncs perfectly with this very same mac.... any help appreciated! thanks.
