that really really reallyyyyy sucks I mean not even 1 lousy megapixel geez apple
Actually it is 1.6 Megapixels
And it is more than i ever expected, pictures would look good enough, you don't need professional photos on an iPod
Plus video recording is were it gets interesting, comon 720P at 30 frames per second just like the iPhone 4
If you were not satisfied by this year's iPod Touch upgrade i don't think nothing will
Back in my day, we didn't even have cameras in phones so this is amazing.
Where did you find that? The specs on apple.com show it to be less than one megapixel.
I don't expect a high end Nikon or Sony, but I want at least the same quality that I get with a $50 Vivitar. Three megapixel minimum, five would be ideal.
Research how cameras work before complaining about not enough megapixels.
'roughly one megapixel'
Doesn't mean that it's less. It could go either way.
My first digital camera was a one megapixel camera. My current camera is eight megapixels. I can see a huge difference in quality between the two.

Anyways my reply still applies to the OP 1.6 MP or not
