    Hello,

I read on one of the forums that the new iPod touch would have a tap to focus feature so I went in to the apple chat and asked the question and they said that there is no feature like that

couldn't you add a line of code somewhere to enable it like on previous gen iphones that didn't have it? (when it gets jailbroken of course)

These "Experts" aren't reliable in some topics, so take their statements as a grain of salt.

I believe that you have to have a thicker camera unit to be able to have auto/tap to focus.. which is kind of a downside. I guess the best they could do was tap to adjust the exposure.

The Apple chat doesn't confirm anything, those Apple chats are useless (in some manner).

I think this chat is correct though. On the iPhone 4 Tech Specs page, Apple lists "Tap to focus video or still images" under the camera specs. On the 4G iPod touch, they only list "Tap to control exposure for video or stills." So in my opinion, there is no tap to focus.

"Tap to focus" and "Tap to control exposure" is essentially the same thing.

This just makes you look like you have NO IDEA what the difference between exposure and focus are. And they are completely different things.
