I was wondering, will it ever be possible to get a cydia app or for someone to make one that somehow allows for the ipod touch to have top to focus? Seems a little far fetched but i thought i mind as well ask.

    That's exposure, kiddo. Not focus.

    No, I believe it's a hardware thing.

the 4g has a fixed-focus lens, so no, it wont be possible.

The camera itself is fixed-focus. Nothing can be done to add autofocus. You can tap to change exposure, but that's all.

It's because HDR takes 3 pictures at different exposures, which the iPod can do. However, it can't change focus.
