I have a poll. Those of you with the new ipod touch 4g:

When airplane mode is OFF (i.e. wifi is enabled) and the device in standby does the battery lose at least 30% charge when you put it in sleep mode overnight?

edit: I apologize for the large text, I didn't realize I have font sizes turned off on my browser lol. + other changes noted by Chris. Thanks!

Ok now. I think we get it. There's no need to enlarge your text.

Welcome to the site by the way.

First off it's not called flight mode, but airplane mode. Second if you have any apps or music playing while its in sleep then that alone can cause the battery to go down.

I always charge my devices each night.

It's there. Vbulitan is kind of messed up as you have to create the poll after you post the topic.

If I turn on wifi overnight, it loses about 20%-30%
If I leave wifi off, it loses about 2%

I had this problem with my old iPod. This one doesn't seem to do it. Then again, I compulsively close any multitasked apps that might eat up battery.

i kept the wifi on one night and it lost about 20 percent, and my first gen when i had it didnt even do that. no apps were open overnight. push was on, but i dont see the point for push mail since it doesnt seem to work for me anymore. i still i have to go into my mail to get it to update.

Why would you even leave WI-FI on?
