Randomly my touch screen will start messing up and uncalibrated it goes back to normal after a couple resets but I dont know if this is common or not

    Uncalibrated?

Take it to Apple for a new one.
What do you mean by the touch screen 'messing up?'

I'm trying to reply while it's doing it

It's like where I touch is reversed

If I hit the bottom of the left side it taps the top of the right side

Like if I tried to power off using the slider I will hit cancel every time

    Very weird

Haha reminds me of my 3GS its really weird... i live by the ocean so im at sea level almost... but when I go to higher elevation like the main land the the touch screen is like uncalibrated... really weird but I figure I can still sell it as long as they live in a area with low elevation

Is it an Apple branded wall charger? Does it product more than 5 volts. If it does, then it could be the extra voltage being read by the iPod. iPods use electric signals from your finger (or skin) to read touches. The electric signals are the same as any type of electricity (from 3rd party chargers too). If too much voltage comes out, it'll reach the screen, and the screen will read it as a touch because it senses electricity.
