I can't find any headphones/earbuds that are compatible with the iPod touch 4G especially with volume control.

Apple's earbuds with the controls should work, my Beats by Dre Solo's work.

The ones I looked at were from Sony and Klipsch so maybe I'll have to wait for them to come out with them

Have you tried them to see if they work? Or just looked at them?

Stop and ask if you really want to spend ages trying to find one with a remote.

I mean, is it that hard to reach into your pocket and change the volume?

    Apple Earbuds

Personally I love my Apple earbuds now that I got some earbud covers for them. They really used to hurt my ears, but now they are super comfortable. I work for the company that makes the covers called Breppies, and our customers LOVE THEM! For the money, I say keep the free ones you get with your device and just protect them them way you would your device. The covers keep them free from dirt and moisture and extend their useful life. There is no better value.

Listening to iPod earbuds is the equivalence to puncturing your ear drums with a Q-tip.

I'm pretty sure skullcandy earphones are compatible with any device. Get them at radioshack.
