I'm ordering the new iPod Touch next week (32GB if anyone was wondering) and was wondering what accessories I should get with it. On my 2nd gen Touch I had a soft case and no screen protector, however I want to get a screen protector on my 4G touch, but aren't sure whether or not to get a hard or soft case, or even to get one at all. I liked my soft case, but it was a pain sliding it in and out of my pocket. I was thinking that with a hard case, it would be easier to do. What screen protector do you think I should get, and do you have any suggestions about a case? FYI, I'm not a very clumsy person, however my touch probably will get dropped a few times.

I don't think they have an iPod touch 4g version, but I use the Speck CandyShell on my 3g and I love it to death. It's so good at protecting your device. Plus, it's a soft case and a hard case at the same time. They are sold at the Apple Store.

For the screen protector, the Power Support Anti Glare Film is great. I love mine, they sell them at the Apple Store, as well.

I'm not getting a 4g until I can use these products with it, I love them that much.

If they come out for the 4g, buy them ASAP.

Be careful with a hard case. My iPod 2g had one and it scratched the crap out of the back and at the seams.

no matter what you do, you will never keep the chrome back scratchless. Even if you don't use the device, it'll find a way to scratch itself.

Anyhoo, go for the hard case + screen protector. Silicone cases attract dust and lint from your pockets. not a good feeling.

I like leather cases, and I never use screen protectors.
