Hey, I know that Ios take a lot of space from the ipod and i also know how i only get 6.5 GB from my 8GB ipod. But it says that my ipod's capacity is full even though i only have about 6 GB memory in it. And it appears from the main summary screen that my memory of music is 5.9 but under the summary at the music section, it says that i have about 5.1 GB.
    here are some pics.

Convert the songs to 128kps in iTunes.

Wow,when I had 750 songs, quite a few apps, and some pics when I first got my 8gb, I still had plenty of space, like 2.4 or more gigs left. Definitely need to convert to 128kps.

yeah but you guys dont get the point here.
Even if i have songs that arent 128 kbps, it still says that i have about 5.1GB of music but when i go to the main summary screen, it showing that i have 5.9GB and with the 6GB memory including music and other stuff like apps, pics, it says that my memory is full

Well I get the point, I just don't know what to tell you. Maybe reset your iPod, then resync and see if it does something?

And that is why I bought the 32 Gigs. Like iTouchEC said, try to reset an resync, maybe its a bug. If not, you will have to compress your songs to AAC to save space. Or delete songs from the iPod

I am supposed to have about 1.4 GB left even if i added all the songs and i dont put any videos in it so i thought 8GB was enough, i used to have a 32GB ipod but i had so many empty space and thought it was a waste.
and i tried to reset and resync but doesnt work

Album art takes a bunch of space. The space taken by the music on your computer is almost always going to be reported as a smaller number than the space it takes on your iPod because iTunes doesn't count album art and your iPod does.
