I made a short video and posted it on YouTube. Sorry that its not in landscape mode. It looked fine on my computer, but once I uploaded it, it came out weird. Watch in FULLSCREEN and HD for better results. Here you go:

Anybody know how I can flip the video sideways so it will look better?

I have no idea. I didn't even notice that iption. My internet is kinda slow. Would you mind telling me if 1080 looks any better than 720? I thought the iPod maxed out at 720, but if it can get all the way up to 1080 thats amazing!

How did you get the vid in 1080p from your iPod?

EDIT: Strange that you were able to get 1080p... anyways, nice video and good quality, too.

I do agree that the better lighting you have, the better the picture/video turn out to be. I also have noticed that taking outdoor pictures with NATURAL light gets you MUCH better pictures than taking pics without natural light.

I just recorded a video and it has 1080p also, your ipod has to be right side up in order to get 1080p, if you recorded it side ways, it will be 720p

Ahh. I see, but in the OP he said that the recorded it in landscape and it looked fine on his computer, but once he uploaded it to youtube, it was different.

EDIT: dd_ny, check your email, please.

you know, the ipod touch's video recording is definately a showstopper for the price, its just a shame that the pictures come out looking like crap. Atleast we know what to look forward to next year (hint hint, a better camera / sensor). If they would just bump it up to like 2 - 3 mp range, it would be game over!!!
