I noticed that the new iPod touch is cheaper on Amazon.com.

    iPod touch 4 8GB: $5 off retail.
    iPod touch 4 32GB: $10 off retail.
    iPod touch 4 64GB: $15 off retail.

(As "mojoman0" said below,) There's also no sales tax and if you have prime, free two-day shipping. Regular super-saver shipping is free as well, and from my experience is usually always less than a week.

It's not big savings, but it's still savings to some.

Sales tax only applies if your state has sales tax. (ie; California, Washington state). At the end of the year when you file your income taxes there is a section that asks you if you made any purchases out of country or state. Sure you can answer no, but if the IRS ever found out, you would need to repay the amount.

Well there's that, but saying "no sales tax" is easier than "no immediate sales tax (still required when your income taxes are filed.)"

    Meh.

90% of the things i buy are from amazon (TV's, Juicer, Video Games, Blu Rays, Sunglasses, a lot of stuff). Everything is always cheaper (like the iTouch 3G has been for sometime).

But i get 10% back recycling my broken itouch from Apple. So going there for this buy.

Actually I live in California and theres no sales tax from amazon. You usually have to pay sales tax when the item ships from your state, so I'm surprised amazon doesnt have a base in CA, or if it does it just eats the tax itself to increase sales

    This isn't really news...

But the downside with Amazon is the long shipping time.
