I don't know if it's just my ipod, but there is a problem (as stated in the title). My new iPod Touch 3rd Generation automatically plays the now playing song when waking it from sleep.

Does anybody else have this problem with the new ipod??
Also does anybody know a way to disable to buttons on the remote control when the iPod is in sleep... because I have a feeling that I will accidentally click the middle button in my pocket or something, causing the ipod to play the music (which will drain the battery)

    anybody experienceing the same??

its the shake to shuffle feature unless you have your headphones connected then you might have pressed the play button on the remote

i'm pretty sure its not the shake-to-shuffle feature because i'm holding it completely still and when it wakes, it plays.

    to be more clear:
    the headphones are plugged in
    song is paused while sleeping
when woken, the same song starts playing at the same position where paused

apparently it is not only me who is experiencing the same problem:

I would see that as a feature, not a problem.

You are pausing something while its sleeping, then when you wake it up it knows your back so it starts playing from where you left off.

If you want to "stop" not pause a track wake it up stop the song and then put it to sleep.

There is no way to turn this off at this time.

I find this more a problem than a feature because I use my iPod Touch with an SwitchEasy Mic to record lectures/notes and sometimes the music is just left running for hours and hours before I notice and it drains my battery life.
Also sometimes when the headphones are in the music plays and during class I can faintly hear it in my bag and its annoying to pull it out and turn off the music.
