ipod touch 3g winterboard?

    if i have to reboot the device after installing winterboard... doesn't that mean that my jailbreak will be gone?? as its a teathered jailbreak?? what other apps off cydia can't i install because of this?

    No, it won't boot at all.
    You just need to run blackra1n again to reboot it.
    It'll still be jailbroken.

    hmmm i did that but it just hung on the blackrain picture...

    when you see the picture, unplug it and plug it back

    okay so install cydia, install winterboard, connect ipod, run itunes, run blackrain, unplug and plug and thats it?

    well to make it a bit more clear: install cydia, install winterboard, wait for it to turn off, connect ipod, itunes should start automatically, run blackra1n, "Make it ra1n", wait for the geohot picture, unplug and plug back in

    it just hangs on the geohot picture..... when it turns off it has that usb cable to itunes icon on the screen.....

    My steps:
    iPod is off.
    Plug it in, Apple logo appears, get a message from itunes saying to restore, and then a plug pointing towards itunes appears.
    Run blackra1n, press "Make it ra1n"
    Wait for it to reboot, and it's back.
    I didn't unplug it and plug it back, but usually i do, guess you dont need to do it
    but it shouldnt make a difference.

    , I got winterboard on my iPod Touch 3G.

    Was at school when downloaded it and it asked to reboot ipod so I chose no and waited till I got home, then I manually shut ipod off, plugged it back in, ran blackra1n and it worked great
