Can't decide. I want a iPod Touch for the summer since near 2 months off of school so will not have much to do. But want to have a good iPod and want to get a 4G. But it might not be out till september (Like the previous models get released a few months after the Phones)

    These are my points

    3G 32GB

-Good- Should be cheaper, can have it quicker, easier to Jailbreak, should last for a while

-Bad- May not be as fast as 4G,might not work for iOS 5.0

    4G-

-Good - Should be faster, will get continued for longer
-Bad- Don't really like the design of the "Rumored" 4G iPhone and if the Touch looks like it then... , Have to wait for it, may be more expensive.

So really stuck on deciding. Would it be better to get a 3G, use it for a year. Then sell it and get a 4G. Or just wait until I get enough money for a 4G/5G in a year or so?

I'd wait to get the 4G if you could wait. It should have a new design, but if you really can't wait 3 months then get the 3G.

How much do you think the 4G would cost? Since the 32gb 3G I am aiming for atm is £210. So if the 4G will be more then I am better off with the 3G.

Why not just wait, and see how it goes. If you don't like the 4th generation, the third generation will still be available new (and at a lower price too).

buy a 3g now, then start saving again for a 4g, and sell the 3rd gen when the time comes

Well, gonna wait for 4G. Since it's likely to be based on the iPhone 4G/HD I can see if there will be a jailbreak etc. So when it is out I can decide on the 4G/3G.
