Hello iPodtouchfans, I have a problem with my iPod Touch 2G with 3.0 JB FW. The problem is that my springboard keeps crashing when i lock my iPod Touch. It crashes like 70% of the time i lock my iPod Touch. I would restore but i dont have a computer on me. Could it be something i installed from Cydia? Any suggestions?

You have probably corrupted one of the functions. I recommend opening cydia and check any lock screen modifictations. If it doesn't help, try deleting Mobile Substrate and then installing it again.

Umm i have updated Mobile Substrate every time a update came out for it on Cydia. If i delete Mobile Substrate to reinstall it will my iPod Touch still be running? Cause i thought Mobile Substrate was the Springboard or something.

EDIT: BTW can a REPO on Cydia cause this?

Mobile Substrate is a springboard extension. Mobile Substrate does not come with your iPod.

Is upgrading Mobile Substrate the same as re-installing it?

Yes, because updating anything overwrites the old version. However in your case I believe something is already corrupted which cannot be fixed by reinstalling mobile substrate. You'll have to just look for the broken package or recover.
